In a large business on beauty and fitness in France, influencers take a major role when customers are in the moment of the purchase, there is when customers take more interest in the product or service.
This occurs in a similar way in Brazil.
How do the digital touchpoints differ from industry to industry in the same country?
In medium business in the Autos & vehicles in the US, most of the customers take the influencers like social media at the beginin, just before their purchase, and that makes me think, is because is an expensive purchase that requires a lot of informed before you pay thousands of dollars or euros. This also happen in the industry of food & drink in the same country.
Of the various touchpoints, how many does a typical hotel use to convert lookers to bookers?
From my point of view, a typical hotel uses only 2 or 3 maximum
Which touchpoints do YOU think are most important for a hotel to employ?
All of them are important, but the most from my point of view are the ones customer uses before their arrival and when they are the hotel, the welcome, the check in, entering the room, the room experience, f&b options, hotel services, check out, because here is were you can obtain the loyalty of the customer, if they receive what was a promise by facilitating how to live the hotel experience, then you'll have a loyal customer.
